What is lip blush and what results can I expect?
Lip blush is a semi-permanent make-up treatment that deposits a soft tint of pigment into the lips. The aim is a natural looking wash of colour that can help lips appear more even in tone and more defined at the edges, rather than a heavy lipstick effect. Your therapist will talk through the shape and shade you would like, and colour is matched to suit your skin tone and preferences. Straight after treatment the colour usually looks brighter, and it softens as the lips heal. Many people choose lip blush because they want to wake up with a little colour and skip reapplying lipstick all day.

Lip blush is semi-permanent, so the colour fades gradually. How long it lasts varies with your skin, lifestyle and sun exposure, which is why a colour boost is offered for maintenance. During healing it is normal for lips to feel dry, look a little swollen at first and flake as they settle. Your therapist will explain full aftercare, which typically means keeping lips clean, applying the recommended balm, avoiding picking and limiting very hot or spicy food for a few days.
