What is RF microneedling?
RF microneedling pairs two collagen-boosting techniques in one treatment. Ultra-fine needles create tiny controlled channels in the skin, and radiofrequency energy delivered through the needles gently heats the deeper layers where collagen and elastin are made. The skin responds by rebuilding, so over the following weeks it looks firmer, smoother and more even. Compared with standard microneedling, the added radiofrequency reaches deeper, which makes it particularly good for acne scarring, loose skin and deeper lines. We use the Derma RF Black Edition, the newest RF microneedling device from UK supplier Derma Group.
Which areas and concerns can be treated?
The face is the most popular area, and we also treat the neck, décolletage, body, scarring, stretch marks and scalp. It is used to improve fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, enlarged pores, uneven skin texture and tone, skin laxity and stretch marks. Your therapist will build a personalised plan at your consultation. Most people see the best results from a course of sessions spaced several weeks apart, as collagen builds gradually. Current prices and any launch offers are shown in the price list on this page, which matches our live booking system.
Aftercare and suitability
A consultation comes first to check your medical history, medication and skin, and numbing cream is usually applied before treatment. Afterwards the skin is typically pink and warm for a day or two, like mild sunburn, and may feel tight or dry as it renews. Avoid make-up for 24 hours, skip heat, saunas and intense exercise while the skin settles, and wear a high SPF daily. RF microneedling is not suitable during pregnancy, over active acne or infection, or with some implants, medications and skin conditions.

Questions
RF microneedling (Black Edition) FAQs
What is the difference between microneedling and RF microneedling?
Microneedling uses fine needles alone to trigger the skin's repair response. RF microneedling adds radiofrequency heat through the needles to reach deeper layers, giving extra tightening and collagen stimulation.
How many sessions will I need?
Most people have a course of treatments spaced several weeks apart. Your therapist will recommend a plan based on your skin at your consultation.
Does it hurt?
Numbing cream is usually applied first, so most clients feel warmth and light pressure. Settings are adjusted to keep you comfortable.
Is there downtime?
Usually a day or two of pinkness and warmth. Avoid make-up for 24 hours and protect your skin from the sun.
Can you treat stretch marks and scars?
Yes. RF microneedling is used on stretch marks and scarring on the body as well as the face. Your therapist will assess the area at your consultation.
